An Early 1890’s Daum Cameo Glass Vase with Gilt Decor. Known as the primitive period for Daum as they first exhibited their initial attempts at Cameo glass in the early 1890’s in particular the 1893 Columbian Exhibition. We present this 16 inch tall example here. Deeply carved and highly textural surface decorated with thistle blossoms and leaves. Retains much of its original gilt. Signed Daum Nancy with Cross of Lorraine at base.
