A Sizable Kralik Helios Art Glass Vase with Bronze Mount. Nearly 15 inches tall. Excellent & Undamaged Condition. Bronze mount is engraved with a date of 1908 and an unidentified name. Glass is unmarked. It seems apparent that an architect’s hand and eye are connected with this architectural form; further, the vocabulary of Patriz Huber seems obvious to us. Regardless of our beliefs, it is quite the design attesting to the quality of work that Kralik produced. Far too often Kralik’s work is discounted as third tier when in fact they were highly accomplished and certainly connected through business and familial relations with some of the most highly regarded institutions ie. Lobmeyer, Meyrs Neff, Bakalowits, and Loetz. In time as research continues the true nature of Kralik’s accomplishments will be revealed. In the meantime, we can enjoy their legacy in vessels such as this one.
